Wait a minute. Is that the right term? Don't want to start another
useless thread based on semanticsĀŠ

Coupla years ago on a trip to Ottawa/Mtl, noticed quite a large
population of road bikes out there. Nice performance bikes too. Although
not much local action out there right now in March, I've seen an
increase in/around Vancouver also. Mostly all nice bikes also. Super!

Always been a roadie, averaging 5000 - 7000 km annually, between
commuting (30km each way), and recreational rides. My competition days
(tri/duathlon) are long behind me but I do like to ride fast and far.

Big peeve: @~$50+ gimme a LONG LASTING performance clincher. The roads
are bad enough on my rims, but tires are an expensive consumable.

Just about time to ditch the winter bike & dust off the Pinarello. You
guys noticed more roadies in recent years?

j.

Hi Roadies,

Yes, noticed the same in Vancouver and Langley.
Myself, I bought a Trek 1500 last fall and it has been sitting way too long.
My farthest was going to Broadway and Cambie from King George Station in
Surrey and back. Anyone want to get a hold of a Kryptonite New Yorker real
cheap as well as other stuff www.biketiresdirect.com is where I am getting
mine.
Would also like to sell my Bontager Race Lux Saddle.
I did the x-country coast to coast in 1976 during the Olympics it would be
even easier now with my new bike.

Cheers
++Advocacy group I found today for Vancouver or other areas looks
worthwhile.
If you want to join
http://www.vacc.bc.ca/lists/index.htm They are going to be improving the
Greenway and all bicycle routes. Make commuting alot safer and fun. : )
